Patrick Oboya was born in the Mukuru slums of Nairobi and started playing football for his local slum team Young Spiders. As a schoolboy at Kamukunji High School he led his school to the provincial title and to the national finals where he was voted the Most Valuable Player.

Patrick has played for the Nairobi Province combined school team, the Kenya U-20 and now has 4 caps for the senior national team since making a sensational debut on March 25th 2007.

He was signed by AFC Leopards in September 2005 for whom he played 8 matches and scored 3 times before moving to Tusker in the January transfer period. At Tusker he played 13 matches.

After playing for Tusker FC Patrick went to a trial at FK SIAD Most in the Czech Republic. The trip was organized by Back-4 Sports together with his Kenyan management Robert Muthomi. He signed a 2 year contract and is now waiting for his first start for the senior team.
